Digital Sublimation Printing

Sublimation Printing requires fabric with a high synthetic content to achieve the richest colour. The more synthetic content, the more saturation of colour you can achieve. 

100% Polyester, Microfibre and other synthetic fabric technology has come a long way in recent years - there are synthetic versions of just about every style of fabrics that can be printed.

 

Stock Fabric

We keep a small range of fabrics always in stock for your needs, or you can supply your own fabric.

If supplying your own keep in mind it needs to be suitable for sublimation - ask us or your supplier.

We stock the following fabrics from charles parsons/eclipse textiles:

matt lycra, shiny lycra, banksia, waratah, wattyl, pongee, micromesh, microfibre, rugbyknit, printknit.

 

Files

We can print from most normal file formats. EPS and PDF are the most commonly used files for composite or vector based designs, and the humble uncompressed JPEG is the preferred choice for bitmap/photographic files. We can also accept many Illustrator, Indesign, Coreldraw, Photoshop and other program files.

Colours

Our Sublimation in general tends to oversaturate colours slightly. In most cases this is a good thing, more vibrant colour is almost always preferred; but sublimation in many cases does not correspond exactly to what you see on screen (not to mention that everyone’s screen can look very different!)

We recommend that all new files are sampled before commencing any order, so you can see exactly what your print is going to look like. We do not charge for strip tests (a small, 10cm section of your print) and when time and circumstance permit sampling is always a good choice.
